I’m Shawna, and I took my first Zumba class in May of 2009 and was instantly hooked. I became a Zumba-certified instructor a few months later, and started teaching classes and choreographing my own routines.
I then got my Group X certification through the AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) and have taught Yoga, Pilates, Step Aerobics, Core Ball Fitness and Cardio Kick.
Most recently, I’ve been certified in Piloxing and Flirty Girl Fitness.
The biggest thrill I get from teaching is seeing people get into the workout, get hooked on dance fitness, make friends, come back again and again, and make big changes in their bodies! I love it when they say they never thought they could have that much fun getting in shape. That’s my mission!
